KyotoPotato is an idle trading game which aims to make energy efficiency more fun by getting users to switch off their computer when not using it. They are all about helping the environment.
An application records the time you are using your computer and the times you have left it switched on and are not using it. Idle time, the time you are not using your computer goes against you and decreases the amount of credits you get for trading.
Users of the site get credit rewards for producing less idle time than other users of the system. These credits can be stored in the users KyotoPotato portfolio or bought and sold on the Idle Exchange Market, a market which trades idle minutes from different continents as commodities.
