Green Built Michigan

Green Built™ Michigan offers members of the Michigan Association of Home Builders (MAHB) a chance to set themselves and their homes apart from the competition. Green Built™ Michigan traines builders and certifies their homes as being energy efficient, safe, durable, and environmentally sustainable.

Green Built™ Michigan offers MAHB members resources and education to become certified and construct Green Built™ homes.

Green Built™ Michigan is a completely voluntary program and has included in its bylaws a clear directive that it shall not advocate for any changes to any construction codes.

Membership is available to any builder or associate member of the MAHB. Membership dues allow the use of the Green Built™ Seal of Quality logo, a free 3-hour training session, various marketing materials, as well as providing a free link to the builder’s web site.

Members must participate in an official 3-hour Green Built™ Training session. If someone joins Green Built™ Michigan within 30 days of attending, $50 of the cost of the training is applied towards their membership dues.

Homes are certified by independent, third party raters who must be trained and certified by Green Built™ Michigan. Green Built™, Inc. is an independent 501© 3 with its own board of directors. “Green Built™ Michigan” is an assumed name of Green Built, Inc.
