The Green World Campaign

The Green World Campaign is global citizens finding new ways to care for our world. They seek out sustainable, effective grassroots projects that help people and planet. Then They find the simplest, most direct ways we can all contribute to their success.

One part of the job, as they see it, is finding new ways to work together, combining the magic of the Web, the reach of global media and the power of the heart. The Green World Campaign uses interactive Web technologies and multimedia to foster planetary cooperation. From music concerts, educational materials and public service ads to broadband programming, Web portals and viral videos, the Campaign makes it simpler to reach out to each other as global neighbors.

The Green World Campaign was founded by Marc Barasch, author of Field Notes on the Compassionate Life, to make it simple for anyone to put “green compassion” into practice. Funds donated online at www.greenworld.org directly support “forest gardens”- at just 10 cents a tree – in environmentally devastated areas, restoring the ecology and economy of the world’s poorest places (primarily Africa).
