Right from the start, the people who came together to open the first Capers viewed this store as simply part of a larger community, one involved in creating a just, caring and sustainable future for this region, and beyond. The roots are in the natural and organic food movement, but they’ve extended their involvement to a variety of related areas with regular support of innovative and effective community organizations.
Everyday they offer the same farm-fresh local, organic produce, meats, seafood and dairy products served in the city’s top restaurants. Their in-house kitchen and bakery also make delicious use of them, along with many of the premium brand-name specialty foods that regularly line their shelves.
