The UnMasKit!™ is an environmentally friendly mask making, painting, and sharing kit for teams of two. Each kit contains natural, organic and recycled ingredients for people to make two masks on one another’s faces, paint them with their inspiration, and share their creations.

Mask making has been used for ritualistic purposes in cultures around the world since Paleolithic times or longer. Masks have been made and decorated in countless ways and are often believed to embody the essence of the figures they represent.

The UnMasKit!™ is designed so mask makers first discuss their vision of what they would like their masks to represent. Next organic palm oil cream is applied and a mask is made on the face using natural plaster cloth. Masks are then painted with their maker’s inspiration using powder milk paints. Finally, mask makers are encouraged to enliven their completed masks by sharing and expressing their masks meaning and significance through talking, writing, or movement.
