The American Community Gardening Association (ACGA)’s annual conference brings together hundreds of individuals from across the United States, Canada, and abroad, who are engaged in all aspects of gardening and greening.
Join the Toronto Tree Tours and the Pocket Residents’ Association for a tree tour of Phin park and surrounding East Toronto neighbourhood. Learn about issues facing the urban forest and the many revitalization efforts of local citizens. The tour will be led by LEAF’s certified arborist Todd Irvine and local expert Jeff Otto. Afterwards stay for some informal discussion and kids activities.

As part of Pitch-In Week and Earth Week, the Brooklin Downtown Business Association (BDBA) is supporting “Pitch-In Brooklin” to help clean up all of the parks in Brooklin (Grass, Memorial, Kinsmen, Kinross, Vipond, Duggan, Selkirk, Optimist, Fairgrounds, Carson).
Help clean up a park/preserve. Volunteers will be supplied with gloves, garbage bags, cleaner, and a t-shirt.
This event is in partnership with the Tim Hortons Community Clean-up initiative. Bring your family, friends and neighbours to spend a couple of hours to help clean up litter from our wetlands and natural areas.
