The Kitchener Youth Action Council will be hosting a screening of the movie “An Inconvenient Truth” which will be followed by a discussion panel where residents can ask questions of City staff and other experts about various environmental issues.

Please join Lululemon on Tuesday, April 17 from 6:30-9:00pm at The Plaza in Kensington. The movie showing is a FREE EVENT so it is a first come, first serve basis – please arrive early to guarantee seating. A guest speaker from Clean Calgary will also be on hand to answer any questions about what we can do locally to make a difference with global warming.
Al Gore, author of the critically acclaimed documentary, An Inconvenient Truth, will be the keynote speaker at this event.
Al Gore’s messenger, Victoria Serda, will be giving a 90 minute live presentation about the effects of climate change in our region, in Canada, and around the world, along with some practical solutions about what each of us can do to help.

Victoria Serda, Deputy Leader of the Green Party of Ontario was personally trained and authorized by Al Gore to present his climate change power point. Her presentation updates the material presented by Mr. Gore in his film and provides a unique Canadian perspective to the material.
The slide show of “An Inconvenient Truth” will look at what global warming is, the signs of change, how those changes will affect us, and what we can do.
