Every Saturday from mid June to Thanksgiving Weekend, Main Street North between Theatre Lane and Queen Street and Main Street South between Queen Street and John Street is closed to traffic and downtown Brampton is turned into a vibrant outdoor festival marketplace. From 7 am to 1 pm, visitors gather to buy the freshest, local Ontario produce, hand-made crafts, preserves, baked goods and much more from over 40 vendors.
Going into its 21st year under the direction of the City of Brampton’s Economic Development Office, the Brampton Farmers’ Market has seen an ever-increasing attendance at this successful community event. In 2006 over 60,000 people visited the Brampton Farmers’ Market over the 17 weeks that the market was in operation.
