Basic Bike Repair and Maintenance Workshop

Whether you are a hardcore daily commuter, a softcore weekend rider, or a keen competitive cyclist, there are things you should know about the bike you ride and how to care for it. In fact, the more you know how to care for and repair, the more confident you are likely to feel wandering further afield on your trusty steed. In this workshop participants will learn to fix a flat, adjust your brakes, do regular maintenance on your bike, and what to watch out for. Bring your bike to get the most out of the class!

Sherri Byer is a bike mechanic by trade and a proud member of the popular Wenches with Wrenches program, through the Community Bicycle Network. As a great believer in the bike as transportation, she has been finding joy commuting and touring by bike for years. She is also a big believer in the power of DIY and enjoys watching people learn that they can actually understand their bikes!
