Celebrate Earth Day by freeing some of the tallest trees on the island from invasive, choking ivy. The event is sponsored by ProgressiveKid, Fair Trade Sports, Pioneer Organics, and Concerned Parents for BI. Register in the north parking lot of Battle Point Park along Frey Avenue. Refreshments and snacks will be provided. All participants will receive coupons for discounts at local green businesses and information about backyard ivy eradication. Please bring pruning shears and other ivy-cutting tools.
