Green World: Events

WineOnline.ca is Flying in a little French for February

Starts: Thursday February 07, 2008

Schedule: Runs 2 days starting on 2008-02-07

Organizer: WineOnline.ca

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada

WineOnline.ca will host an exciting wine tasting and pairing event with Antoine Kreydenweiss of Domaine Marc Kreydenweiss. Flying into Canada from his vineyard in Alsace, France, the world-renowned, inspired and visionary winemaker will discuss an exclusive selection of the estate’s rarities paired with a menu designed to match each wine to perfection.

In 1990, Marc Kreydenweiss converted the estate to 100% biodynamic farming, a distinction shared by only a small number of wineries in the world. An innovative technique, farming in this manner not only enhances the health of the soil and disease-resistance of the vines, but the terroir character of each wine becomes increasingly defined.

Thursday evening’s events will be held at The Fine Wine Reserve located at King and Spadina (directions are emailed to guests privately) with two seatings at 6:00PM and 8:30PM. Catered by the reserve’s executive chefs who will craft a delightful morsel menu of fitting creations.

On Friday, Jamie Kennedy Wine Bar located at 9 Church Street will host the evening with one main seating beginning at 8:00PM. Delectable wines will be discussed and paired with a six-course menu by one of Canada’s finest Executive Chefs, Tobey Nemeth.
