The Samoa Butterflies are evolving quickly to avoid extinction. Researchers state that these butterflies are responding to the pressure of extinction by developing genetic defenses against a type of bacteria, which was affecting male butterflies. It is now evident that male butterfly numbers are rising and approaching female numbers.
